Juventus Turin crushed Salernitana 6-1 on Thursday evening in the round of 16 of the Italian Cup and will face Frosinone in the quarter-finals next week.
Red lantern of the Italian championship, Salernitana nevertheless got off to a thunderous start, when Chukwubuikem Ikwuemesi took advantage of a completely missed restart from Federico Gatti to open the scoring in the 2nd minute.
Juve, 2nd two points behind Inter in the league, quickly equalized through Fabio Miretti (12th), served by Andrea Cambiaso who then gave his team the advantage in the 35th minute.
Already decisive in the opener, Federico Chiesa contributed to Juve's third goal scored by Daniele Rugani (53rd), before Dylan Bronn scored an own goal (75th).
