The Parisians cracked at the end of the match and lost 26 to 24 Thursday evening in Kiel (Germany), a fourth match without a victory in a row for PSG in the group stage of the Champions League.
With 9 points in 9 days in the premier competition of European handball, Luka Karabatic's teammates let Kiel escape at the top of the group with 13 points on the clock after nine matches played.
Raul Gonzalez's men have not won in the Champions League since their home success against the Danes of Aalborg on the 5th day. They then went four matches without a win (three defeats and one draw).
They occupy 5th place in the group, just one point ahead of 7th place Zagreb. The first two qualify for the quarter-finals and the teams ranked 3 to 6 advance to the play-off.
Failing to shoot in the first period against an exceptional Samir Bellahcene (14 saves for the French goalkeeper from Kiel), the Parisians came back to score and even took control at the start of the last ten minutes (23-22, 51st ).
But they missed the end of the match in attack and let Kiel win, despite the large part of Andreas Palicka in the PSG goals (15 saves) and Mathieu Grebille, top scorer with six goals from seven attempts. The Parisians will travel to Aalborg next week.
