French skater Adam Siao Him Fa retained his title at the French Grand Prix by beating American prodigy Ilia Malinin on Saturday in Angers during the third round of the Grand Prix season.

French skater Adam Siao Him Fa retained his title at the French Grand Prix by beating American prodigy Ilia Malinin on Saturday in Angers during the third round of the Grand Prix season.

Siao Him Fa, second behind Malinin at the end of the short program, obtained a total of 306.78 points after the free program, and is ahead of Malinin on the podium (304.68 points) and the Japanese Yuma Kagiyama, vice-champion Olympic (273.14 points). After crossing 100 points for the first time in international competition during the short program on Friday (101.07 points), Siao Him Fa achieved the best performance in the free program (205.71 points), in a floral costume with an opening at sound of a rearranged Max Richter composition.
