Cyclo-cross: Zdenek Stybar, three-time world champion, will end his career after the Worlds

At these World Championships, Stybar, 38, plans to compete in the mixed relay on Friday and the elite men's race on Sunday. “I think I can't choose a better moment for the end of my career than these Cyclo-cross World Championships in Tabor,” he told reporters.

Stybar was crowned world champion in the specialty in 2010 (already in Tabor), 2011 and 2014. He had previously been crowned in the under-23 category in 2005 and 2006. Also involved in road cycling, he won a stage of the Tour de France in 2015 and the Tour of Spain in 2013. He is also winner of the Eneco Tour (now Renewi Tour after becoming Benelux Tour) in 2013 and the Italian classic Strade Bianche in 2015.
