Basketball: Paris leader TJ Shorts elected Eurocup MVP

A few hours before match 1 of the Eurocup finals between Paris Basketball and Bourg-en-Bresse, Parisian leader TJ Shorts was elected MVP of the competition. The American (25 years old, 1.75 m) is the second best scorer in the competition (18 pts/match) and the best passer (7.5 assists/match). King of the mid-range shot, he led Paris to an almost flawless regular season with 17 victories for one defeat.

This is the first time that a player playing in the French championship has received this award in the Eurocup (C2). Shorts had already been elected MVP of the Champions League (C3) last season, a competition he won with the German club Bonn. He was also elected MVP of the 2024 Leaders Cup, won by Paris last February.

The pocket leader is eagerly awaited this Tuesday evening (8:30 p.m.) for the first match of the Eurocup finals. The capital club hosts JL Bourg at the Adidas Arena, before round 2 this Friday (7:30 p.m.) at Ekinox.
