The Slovak Petra Vlhova, already victorious on Saturday, achieved the best time on Sunday in the first round of the second slalom of the Alpine Ski World Cup in Levi (Finland).
After having already flown through the race on Saturday, the Olympic champion in the specialty once again crushed the competition during the first round on Sunday. Starting in sixth position, she relegated American superstar Mikaela Shiffrin to 76 hundredths and Swede Sara Hector to 84 hundredths.
Shiffrin and Vlhova, who have shared victories in Lapland for eight years, have both won six times in Levi.
Like Saturday, Chiara Pogneaux is the only one of the five French women entered to have qualified for the second round (14th at 2 sec 06). Marie Lamure is the first non-qualified (31st, one hundredth of the 30th qualifying place), ahead of Marion Chevrier (43rd), Doriane Escane (50th) and Clarisse Brèche (exit).
The second round is scheduled for 1:00 p.m.
