Volvo Precept, this is the future of luxury
Born as a brand separate from the Volvo Group, in turn controlled by the chinese Geeley, the name Polestar stands now on the new concept, Precept (i.e. a precept) which will be presented by the next International Automobile exhibition in Geneva.

This grand tourer 4-door, that seems to have been imagined and designed to deal directly with the Porsche Taycan, is "a declaration, a vision of what Polestar is and what makes it unique is the brand - said Thomas Ingenlath, CEO of Polestar - a car that is a response to the clear challenges that our society and industry must deal with. It is not a dream of the far future, because Polestar Precept anticipates our future models and shows how to apply the innovation to minimize the environmental impact."

The name Precept was chosen to emphasize the role of this unusual four-door sports BEV in defining the Polestar as a contemporary brand in the specific segment of the models of performance electric. The proportions of this new model - the flagship of the range - define both the importance of the aerodynamic efficiency, starting from the step of 3.1 metres - leaving space oall'large battery pack - has allowed us to achieve a very low silhouette and stylish.
the Front of the snout is dominated by the SmartZone, which replaces the traditional mask with the outlet of the air - and today houses the security sensors and the functions of driving assistance. Behind a transparent panel there are two radar sensors and a high definition camera. The pod Lidar, the first step towards the autonomous guide of the highest level, is instead mounted above the roof in an optimum position.

The inside of the Precept is defined by sustainability, with the use of new materials that balance the luxury with the environmental impact. The elements in the composite based on flax (provided by the Bcomp) for internal panels and seat backs offer a savings of up to 50% in weight and a reduction of up to 80% of plastic waste.
The seat covers are fabrics in 3D using yarn made from PET bottles and recovered, while the cushions and the headrest are made of vinyl, cork, recycled.
In turn, the rugs are made of plastic, which is obtained by recycling fishing nets recovered in the sea. A new luxury premium that exceeds, therefore, the traditional applications of leather, wood and chrome.
