TikTok, security flaw: at risk the personal data
A hole in the TikTok, chat chinese popular among the young, puts at risk the security of personal data and the privacy of the video. Discover it security researchers from Check Point Research. The vulnerability was reported to TikTok and was correct, need to update the app to protect itself. Hackers, potentially, can upload videos with unauthorized and delete others; to change the privacy of videos of a user from private to public; to extract sensitive personal information such as name and surname, e-mail address and date of birth.

The intrusion in the privacy of a user can be made through the messaging infrastructure TikTok, "by injecting and executing a malicious code", or "by redirecting the victim to a malicious web site under the guise of tiktok.com". Check Point Research has informed at the end of November of this vulnerability ByteDance, the owner of TikTok, "and it has been implemented a workaround in a matter of a month, in a responsible way, to ensure that users can continue to use the application in a safe way".
