The flagship of the Fca? The production centre of Turin

Transform the production centre of Turin in a great centre of excellence for electrification, both nationally and internationally. With this clear objective, the group Fca has launched two new projects in the field of sustainability linked to the electrification, an integral part of the industrial plan for Italy 2019-2021 by five billion euro.

The plan provides for the installation of the “Solar Power Production Units” at Mirafiori, with the photovoltaic panels mounted on the roofs of various structures for a total surface of 120,000 square metres and to cover the 1,750 parking spaces (30,000 square metres).

From this plant would be a production of 15 MW of electricity, with a contribution to the reduction of emissions of over 5,000 tonnes of CO2, providing at the same time, sustainable energy for the requirements of the models and track products in the site.

The part of the project related to the roofs will be done in collaboration with the Edison car parks will be built in partnership with Engie.

In detail, the project provides for the application of photovoltaic panels to the care of the Edison will be interested in the historical Officine 64, 71 and 72, the Assembly Center of the body and the RG Center near the proving ground of Mirafiori.
