Revolution in the world of tires: the Goodyear eCharge
Comes from the Goodyear concept tire that can adapt to the needs of who is behind the steering wheel. And this was the objective of the launch of the new reCharge, indicated by the parent, such as a tire revolutionary concept. "Goodyear wants to that the tire will respond more effectively to the specific needs of mobility of motorists - says Elena Versari, Sales GM Consumer Goodyear Italy - and this ambition has guided us in the creation of a tyre concept that looks to a future where mobility is more and more customized".
The concept reCharge is offering a series of innovative features, developed around four main concepts. At the heart of the concept of reCharge there is a tread compound that is biodegradable that can be recharged with the individual capsules.

These capsules, filled with a mixture liquid custom on the needs of the motorist or a fleet of vehicles, allow the tread to regenerate, adapting to the climatic conditions, geographical area or simply the preferred way of travel of each of us.

Each driver could have its own profile, which is updated by artificial intelligence, to collect information with which to then go on to customize a mix to measure. The compound would be realized with a biological material, reinforced with fibers inspired by one of the natural materials most resistant in the world, the silk of the spider, which would make it extremely resistant and biodegradable at 100 percent. The tread would be supported by a light frame, not the tire and a shape is tall and narrow. It is a thin construction and rugged, which requires very little maintenance and that would eliminate the problems related to the drilling and pressure drops, critical elements for motorists, but especially for the managers of fleets of cars (rental or car-sharing), which would reduce the effort required to maintain the tires of the park.
