The tone expresses the “feeling” metal, and combines perfectly with the black of the outside mirrors and the unprecedented alloy wheels Rays. The latter are produced by forging, a particular method of working metal, from a single block of aluminum to get the final drawing of the circle through the elimination of excess material with a mechanical machining. A method more expensive and refined compared to the traditional fusion, but you can get alloy wheels that are more resistant and with less weight, and the benefit of driving dynamics.

The look of this version is made for the most exclusive interiors in nappa leather Burgundy Red with contrasting stitching in Silver complemented by a rich standard equipment which includes the infotainment system Mazda Connect, complete navigation and recognition of road signs, the interface for the Apple Carplay and Android Auto, the Bose sound system and a package of driver-assistance systems i-Activsense, which includes the emergency braking in the city lights, matrix LED, back camera, the system of monitoring of blind spots and the recognition of the fatigue of the driver.

The same philosophy was used for the "Sport" version 2.0, designed for those who enjoy performance sports. The MX-5 Sport 2.0 is in fact available with the engine Skyactiv-G 2.0 L 184 HP approved Euro 6d associated with the 6-speed manual transmission and can be ordered with both the bodywork and the Soft Top, and both RF – Retractable Fastback – with hard top roof. The two choices of colours for this version have been made through the special process of coating Takuminuri: the Machine Grey,d series, and the Soul of the Red Crystal as an option. Both colors contain flakes of aluminum that is highly reflective, and emphasize the lines of the car.

Internally we find the same facilities as the MX-5 Polymetal 1.5 to which is added the sport seats and Recaro leather/fabric suede instead of nappa leather Burgundy Red. The performance of the engine 2.0 L Skyactiv-G 184 HP, are made even more thrilling by the sport suspension Bilstein, from the bar to the front & the rear differential limited slip mechanical.

Both versions are equipped with technology i-Stop system and energy recovery under braking i-ELOOP to ensure high efficiency and, at the same time, excellent performance. The i-ELOOP is a system of regeneration of energy in braking, that uses a lightweight and technological super capacitor in place of a traditional heavy lithium battery, to recover electrical energy and use it to power the electrical systems of the vehicle, decreasing the energy demand on the engine by the alternator.

The MX-5 2020 is already available for order with prices starting from 33,500 euro for the version Polymetal 1.5, up to 38.600 provided for the "Sport" version 2.0 with housing RF in exclusive shades Machine Grey. The first specimens will be available in showrooms from next march.
