Internet: 40% of subscribers connected at very high speed at the end of march

Approximately 40% of the internet subscribers in France had been connected to the very high speed at the end of march, compared with 34% a year earlier, according to the quarterly report on the subject of the sector regulator, Arcep, published this Thursday.

The first quarter "confirms that the record growth in the number of subscriptions and the fibre deployment (FttH) observed in 2019" despite the first effects of the health crisis and the first two weeks of confinement in march, observed the Arcep, which counts about 600,000 additional people connected to the very high speed in the beginning of the year. They are now 12 million French people who have access to the internet at very high speed, that is, 40% of subscribers in France.
