Feast in the house of Honda. The giant japanese celebrate these days – seventy years after the first D-Type produced in 1949 – 400 million motor vehicles all over the world.

Honda was founded in 1948 and the mass production of motorcycles outside of Japan took place for the first time in Belgium in 1963. Since then, in the course of its history, has constantly expanded its production and the number of plants for the production, arriving to have 35 factories in 25 different countries between Europe, Asia, Africa, North America and South America.

Currently, Honda produces a wide range of scooters and motorcycles for the world market: scooter 50 cc, like the Dunk, high-performance motocross bikes like the CRF450R, icons, Touring as the GL1800 Gold Wing, legendary motorcycles such as the CRF1100L Africa Twin, supersport “born to race” as the all-new CBR1000RR-R Fireblade from 217 HP.

Since its foundation, Honda has produced and developed motorcycles based on the requests of the market and respecting the principle that “the ultimate purpose of technology is to help people.” This has allowed to the House of the Wing to reach the milestone of 100 million units produced in 1997, 300 million in 2014 and 400 million today.

In 2018 has reached, for the first time in its history, the production of 20 million vehicles per year constantly guaranteeing maximum assistance and support to all its customers around the world, because it respects the vision with the 2030 horizon to serve its global audience with “joy to expand the potential of people's lives.”
