AUGUSTA, Georgia -- Tony Finau got quite the surprise throughout Saturday's extended weather delay at the next round of the Masters Tournament.
Even though Finau was waiting for the rain to cease, he hung out at the caddie home at Augusta National Golf Club. Jimmy Dunne, a part of this team, given Finau his mobile phone.
"This was a nice surprise," Finau said. "He said,'Great acting,' and he had been after. He was amazed we ceased. He explained from the NFL as it rains you do not stop. I tell him,'Yeah, perhaps we are not as hard as you men,' but he said,'No, that is not the situation.' We had a fantastic laugh about that."
Finau said he'd fulfilled Brady after before in 2017, when Brady was playing to the New England Patriots. Finau said he climbed up a Dallas Cowboys enthusiast but now largely cheers for individual NFL players.
Finau did not state whether Brady gave him a pep talk during the weather delay, which lasted over one hour.
