do you Know James Nitties?

He is australian and a professional golfer. He has basically been since 2004, but has primarily played on the australian version of the PGA Tour and also made themselves noticed on a couple of occasions on the us PGA Tour.

this week he is attending the ISPS Handâ Vic Open in their home country. A tournament that is part of the european the European Tour. And now the 36-year-old managed it already on 1. round of the cellar through the sound barrier for the Nitties.

After being gone out on 1. round from 10. hole (and opened with a birdie followed by three pairs and a double bogey), he hit the shoal.

A birdie on 15. was followed by birdies on 16., 17. and 18. hole. And Nitties advanced in the field. And it continued on 1. hole. And 2. hole. In fact, right up to 5. hole, he scored birdies.

Nine birdies in a row!

Then he closed the round in par on the last four holes. But the nine birdies got on the scoresheet. And it aroused immediate attention.

For it is a tangency of the record, as Mark Calcavecchia otherwise have been sitting alone with in almost ten years.

- I am completely up and running. As far as I know, I have not other world records. So this is pretty cool, it came with a breeeedt a smile on the lips of the man from Melbourne.

As was the case with Calcavecchia at the time on the Glen Abbey course near Toronto wins Nitties probably not the tournament.

Already in his otherwise historic round Thursday he had true, not nine birdies in a row ranks to a first place finish. For fellow countryman Nick Flanagan also had a good day and scorched the course in 62 strokes – with eight birdies and two eagles along the way.

And the second day on Friday was an anticlimax for Nitties, who had to use the entire 74 blow – ten more than the day before and with a Double Bogey on 18. hole, which placed him on a split 44. place – eight strokes after Flanagan.
