In one of the practice sessions on the oval circuit in the United States lost Alonso the control on his steering wheel. The Spaniard tapped first, the balustrade on the outside of the circuit and then down to diving. The McLaren of Alonso slipped back after a hard collision to the fence at the top. There had been a car and driver, ultimately to a standstill. Alonso was fortunately uninjured from his car. The McLaren is so well.
“The my error”, responded to Alonso afterwards on Instagram. “It was a mistake of me to get the grip in turn three to be underestimated. I feel guilty for the team and now I have learned my lesson. Later today or tomorrow, we come back stronger,” said Alonso.
The 37-year-old Spaniard is looking for in Indianapolis, the Triple Crown of motorsport. The 24 Hours of Le mans and the Grand prix of Monaco, he has already won. Now he only has the Indy 500. Graham Hill is the only one in the history that the Triple Crown realized.
