The only club close down

three years ago, was the football club Lhasa Chengtou founded in Tibet and was the small state's only professional football club in China's third superliga.

But what should have been a visible proof to China that included Tibet, have now ended up in a dud. The club must now close, but it is neither the result of bankruptcy, fraud or political conflict.

It is, indeed, the location of the Lhasa Chengtous home at 3650 meters altitude, which is the problem.

The Chinese Football association (CFA) has adopted, that there must be fights in the heights, as you fear for the players ' health. It writes the AFP news agency.

Lhasa Chengtou has so far played most home games at a stadium in the sichuan provincial people's procuratorate 2400 kilometers away, but have played a few matches on home in the heights.

According to the chinese news agency Xinhua had the matches are interrupted every 15. minutes, for the players could get an oxygen mask on.

There were also rumors that six players from a modstanderhold had to be escorted away by altitude sickness from a fight, but it has the police in Tibet disapproved.

Lhasa Chengtou has not, however, want to continue having to travel far away in order to play its home games, and therefore close the club now.

In the last season the team finished as number 26 out of 32 teams in China's third row.
