The Dutch dartspiller Raymond van Barneveld have a hard time deciding.
on Thursday, he announced that he stopped his career with immediate effect, when he was finally sent out of this season's Premier League with a 1-7 defeat to world champion and compatriot Michael van Gerwen.
The five-time world champion resigned to put it mildly.
- I have taken this decision. I'm done now. I will not feel the pain more. It has been pain each and every week the last three or four years. I'm ok with the decision. I'm relieved. I'm done, it sounded from Barneveld, who no longer plays darts, as he did once.
But on Friday, got a whistling, suddenly a completely different sound.
Barneveld has quite simply changed your mind.
- It dawned on me that I should not speak out on the way, when I have such strong feelings. I will finish my career at Alexandra Palace with a last world championship, he says of the upcoming world championship in London in december and January.
It has always been the plan, that the tournament should be hollænderens last.
the Decision comes after the 'Barneys' manager wrote on Twitter late Thursday night that his client had got cold feet and would spend a few days to think the decision to pull back through.

Affected by personal problems
Barneveld has had a number of personal problems recently. Among other things, has the media told that he is in a divorce with his wife of 25 years.
And he does not hide that the private challenges has affected his game.
- I hope that the people understand the difficult times that my family and I have gone through, and I need to get a grip on myself.
- I will take a few days off, and so I will try to compete as well as I can in the tournament outside of the limelight in the next few weeks, he says, according to BBC.
Raymond van Barneveld was up until a few years ago one of the world's absolute best players, but ranks in the day just as the number 30 PDC's ranking.
