Cykelstjernen Niki Terpstra has been admitted to the hospital after a violent crash on a training ride on Tuesday.
It informs hollænderens wife, Ramona Terpstra, in a posting on Twitter.

His life is not in danger, but he must need time to recover after the incident, she writes.
According to the Dutch media NOS was Terpstra flown at the hospital where he was diagnosed with a punctured lung, a concussion, a broken collarbone and fractured ribs.
