Polar bears: The next setback : Bitter 2:5 against Nürnberg

May be a bit of a spectacle? After the last poor home of the polar bears, the spectators were treated to performances in the Arena at the Ostbahnhof on Tuesday night against the Nürnberg Ice Tigers at long last, a really entertaining hockey game. Unfortunately, only 8226 Fans came, they saw, while the fourth Berlin home defeat in a row, however, there was the 2:5 (2:3, 0:1, 0:2) this time, nothing to complain about at the setting of the polar bear. From the start the hosts wanted to offer their Fans something, the game was marked by a high degree of intensity, from Berlin's point of view, unfortunately, of a couple of defensive mistakes too much.

The first third was 23 seconds old, since the Puck was already in the network. Nuremberg's Jason Bast had met, and thus set the course for a game with an open visor. The polar bears made up for by James Sheppard shortly after, and then it went merrily and forth. Leonard Pföderl and Mike Mieszkowski met for Nuremberg, and Florian Busch with his 150. Goal in the German hockey League (DEL) for the polar bears. In between, there was a pretty Boxeinlage and a goal from goalkeeper Maximilian specialises in the Berliners, because Kevin Poulin had to fast counter hit enough.

The polar bear still had repeated good chances to equalise

In the second period the Tempo remained high, however, the defense stood in ranks a little better than before. The polar bears still had repeated good chances to equalise, but would not fall. Instead, Brandon Buck was dusting for the Ice Tigers 4:2 and as Florian Busch could not turn short before the end of the second half, a Penalty shot, the Berlin-based fairly significantly.
And it should change nothing, because the Nuremberg made in the last third of the rear seal and once again by Will Acton into the empty goal met. The polar bears, however, couldn't really much. Spectacular and the end was not thus.
