Pichler wants to have the OLYMPICS in Stockholm

at the same time that the biathlon world CHAMPIONSHIPS are underway in Östersund, sweden, is travelling the International olympic committee in Sweden and look at the proposed OS-spots: Åre, Falun and Stockholm.

Östersund has tried to get the olympic games several times – but lost in the votes in 1994, 1998 and 2002. Also in 2006, the city was interested in, but the Swedish olympic committee (SOK) said no.

now, When the SOK hope at the OLYMPICS in 2026 are not in Östersund with in the plans.

"I think it is absolutely right," says skidskyttelandslagets head coach Wolfgang Pichler.

" I support an OLYMPICS in Stockholm, sweden to 100%, it is a toppenidé. I hope that the Swedish government also supports the plan, it would be amazing. And it is so completely different compared to ten years ago now, when the IOC will pay almost everything.

– It would be really good for the young people of Sweden, for the Swedish sport and for the entire system.
