Nilsson's plan – to interrupt the Tour de Ski

Stina Nilsson had for the season and decided that, just as during last year's successful OLYMPIC season, nobba this year's Tour de Ski.

But with the world CUP around the corner has a 25-year-old changed his mind and this time, she just like two years ago to stand on the start when the tour starts with a sprint in the Italian Toblach.

" It was gut feeling, it felt like something I wanted to do. I sat down with Richard (Grip, landslagschef) and the coaches and felt that it would be good if it worked with the preparations for the world CUP and that did it. That is why I am here, " says Nilsson to TT.

r choose, however, to nobba the Tour de Ski. Norwegian dominant Therese Johaug will not start and in the Swedish team is missing toppåkare as Charlotte Kalla, Ebba Andersson and Hanna Falk.

Stina Nilsson's focus is on other than that the tour does not attract the big names.

" It's nothing I notice. I'm here for my own sake and I think we have a good bunch here. I don't think so much on it, " she says.

Two of the first three races in the Tour de Ski is determined in Nilsson's special distance sprint. She ends it with the 10 km classic in Oberstdorf – a distance she bet on before the world CUP, where in 2021, and therefore are happy to test – instead of the classic climb up the ski slopes Alpe Cermis in Val di Fiemme.

" I'm not going to go the whole tour. I will go the first four. It is good to get to run a little faster races, " she says.

To run the whole tour doesn't work with her recharge for the coming world CUP in Seefeld, which is determined from 19 February to 3 march.

" I want to have days at home. During the tour, I will take the race for the race and hope for good races with good emotion in the body. What I work with at home, I want to get across in the body during the competition, " says Nilsson.

the star on the men's side, Calle Halfvarsson, has the tour early in the planning process has been a highlight during the season.

" I charged over to race again. It'll be fun to get in time after we had a little winter break. One of the objectives in the winter is to ski well on the tour.

For his part, has the competition not so much with the world CUP-the upload to do.

" I want to go good on the tour so it is important it that way, but it really doesn't have anything with the VM to do. In my plan there is a training schedule for the tour and even if it goes up or down here it is just to trust it, " he says.
