The two african migrants were 30. december discovered on the border between Morocco and the Spanish enclave of Melilla, which lies on the north african coast, writes Spanish El Periodico.
In trying to get access to the Europe they had hidden in two hollowed-out mattresses that were sewn together, wrapped in plastic and strapped to the roof of a white van.
Their creative attempts to cross the border, however, were found by the Spanish officers from the Guardia Civil, who in footage from the site be seen cutting the mattresses up.
It is reportedly the first time migrants will be discovered stored inside mattresses. The police believe that there may be a new technique devised by the greedy traffickers who want to exploit migrants ' desperation for their own profit.

The two migrants was, in spite of the transport inside the plastikindpakkede mattresses, in good health, and did not need medical treatment. They were both arrested on the spot while the car driver managed to flee back across the border to Morocco before the authorities could arrest him.
