Kamil Wilczek has been lethal in front of goal in the calendar year soon coming to an end.
With 25 League goals in the whole of 2018, he set the record for most goals scored ever in the League, and this is of course the interest from other clubs, not least with the prospect that the Polish bomber stood in front of his contract with Brøndby this summer.
Many Brøndby-fans have enough to be feared to end up in the same situation with Wilczek, as they have done with other publikumsfavoritter as Lebogang Phiri and Johan Larsson, who both left the club at the end of contract.
But today, the fans breathe a sigh of relief and safely enjoy extra much over a delayed christmas gift. Brøndby announces that it has signed a new contract, which applies to the summer of 2021:
- Kamil have been here for three years and has proven herself as a topangriber in the Danish Superliga. He is dedicated like few others, and then he has an irrepressible ability to seek out and score goals, no matter how random chance might be. We are therefore also pleased that we have reached an agreement with Kamil on an extension of his current agreement so that it now runs until the summer of 2021, says outgoing sports director Troels Bech to the club's website.

We and our children feel really at home, and I personally can not avoid to feel the support for Brøndby IF daily. I have no doubt that it is that we feel us at home and the support, are two of the main reasons for the success I have experienced in my time in Brøndby IF. We are therefore very pleased that the agreement has been extended by two years, sounds it from the pole.
