The first bomb went of in or near a cathedral during a mass on the island of Jolo.

While security forces and police rushed to the spot, exploded another bomb in front of the cathedral.

Authorities have not said anything about who is behind the attack, but on Sunday night, Islamic State (IS) has taken the blame, reports the intelligence community SITE, which monitors jihadists.

ICE has issued a statement in which it is claimed that two suicide bombers with bombebælter blew himself up in the church and in its parking lot on Jolo.
