Just like yesterday was the start of the second stage of the Tour of the Basque country today in Zumarraga. In the beginning of the ride layers gave the riders some solid climbing thrown at you, but the last hundred kilometers, to Basque standards, right. In the last 50 kilometres there were a few gravelsectoren on the trail. The aankomststrook in Gorraiz was on the dairying of the punchers: the last six hundred meters were at a gradient of eight percent.
The early flight consisted of four leaders: After twelve kilometers Darwin Atapuma, Julien Bernard and Garikoitz Bravo road. After a chase of nearly 30 kilometres, the Spaniard Julen Amezqueta connect. The quartet gained a maximum lead of just three minutes, but was at 50 kilometers from the end all be caught up.
