, As were the archaeologists found a new snack bar, or thermopolium. A thermopolium was in the old Roman Empire, the name for a case where citizens ready-made meals could be ordered. That were not too expensive affecting mainly the poorer population, without kitchen, made use of the numerous establishments. Pompeii had no less than eighty of such eateries or thermopolia.
