The flemish minister of Environment, Nature and Agriculture Joke Schauvliege (CD&V) refuse a new licence, to grant to nv The Lokery for the operation of the slaughterhouse Sus Campiniae in Oevel (Westerlo). At the slaughterhouse, according to the owners of the largest pig slaughterhouse of the country, for years, protested by a residents association and the municipality of Westerlo itself.
