Two hundred and twenty life-sized Terracotta Warriors have been discovered in the mausoleum of chinese emperor Qin Shi Huang, along with a large number of weapons: twelve horses of clay and the remains of two wagons, containers, shields, colored, swords and bows of bronze. The treasure was brought to light by a team of archaeologists in the excavation, which started in 2009, in an area of approximately 500 square metres in pit number 1, the largest of the three that surround the tomb of the first emperor of the nation, in Shaanxi province, in northwest China.
