Staff at Kamala Harris are struggling with low morale and internal tensions: Reports

Multiple reports have revealed that Kamala Harris, Vice President, is under intense scrutiny for her handling of the border crises and other important issues. Her staff is experiencing low morale, and are having difficulty communicating with senior staff members, according to multiple reports.

Communications issues and distrust among Harris' aides and senior officials, including Tina Flournoy her chief of staff, have created a "tense, at times douroffice environment." Politico reported on interviews with 22 former and current aides.

Flournoy was the target of much of the criticism. His aides claim that he has had limited access to Harris and contributed towards a culture where ideas are ignored, met with harsh dismissals, and decisions are dragged out."

Harris' recent border trip was an example of these issues. Harris' decision to travel to El Paso earlier in the month left some of her aides and other Biden administration officials "left scrambling".

Politico reported that Harris was a part of the current administration's responsibility for some issues on her team.

According to Harris' office personnel, "People are being thrown under the bus at the very top. There are short fuses and it's abusive environment." One person who is familiar with operations told the outlet. It's not a healthy environment, and people are often mistreated. It is not a place people feel supported, but it is a place people feel like s---.

Symone Sanders, Harris’ top spokesperson, has rebutted allegations of discord among the vice president's staff.

"We don't make rainbows and bunnies every day. Sanders said that he hears people working hard and invited them to join the club. "We created a culture in which people can raise anything they want. Anyone who has something they want to raise should do so directly.

The office of the vice president did not respond to our request for additional comment.

A report by CNBC echoed concerns about Flournoy’s leadership. According to the outlet, Harris' chief-of-staff had "effectively excluded" some of his political and business allies, including top donors.

According to sources familiar with the matter, some of Harris' allies are unable to reach Harris for personal or political calls.

GOP lawmakers have been very critical of Harris' role as the Biden administration’s point person for efforts to resolve an ongoing immigration crisis. Republicans criticized Harris for refusing to assess the border situation personally.
