North Korea has again fired at least one ballistic missile, according to the South Korean military. The missile flew in the direction of the Sea of Japan (Korean: East Sea), said the general staff in the capital Seoul on Wednesday.
Further details were not initially known. North Korea, which is largely isolated internationally, has been testing missiles at an unusually high frequency since the end of September.
According to the military in South Korea, the self-declared nuclear power fired more than 25 missiles, including an ICBM, last week alone. The tests were also said to be in response to aerial exercises by South Korean and US forces. The exercises ended on Saturday.
