McConnell blasts mandates following Super Bowl. McConnell says that 'political science is the only science that has changed'

Senator Minority Leader Mitch McConnell criticized the continuing masking of children at schools. He pointed to many "rich" celebrities who were wearing masks at Sunday's Super Bowl, while children are still required to wear them.

McConnell stated Monday that "the only science that has changed in the past two weeks was the political science." "Even though Democrats allow grownups to return to normal, they are still clinging to their emergency powers over K-12 classrooms."

McConnell seemed to be referring a number of high-profile celebrities who were spotted wearing masks during NBC's coverage, including Jay-Z and Charlize Theron as well as LeBron James, Jennifer Lopez, and Ben Affleck.

Social media users who tuned in to the broadcast pointed out that California's schools still have strict COVID-19 regulations, which include the use of masks.
"Here's the Super Bowl video without any masks. Clay Travis, Outkick.com's Clay Travis, tweeted that every child in California would have to wear them tomorrow at school. "They all must be holding their breaths throughout the whole game."

McConnell was one of those who noticed. He noted that young students who had watched the game would have to "cover themselves" at school the next day.

McConnell stated that Americans who saw the Super Bowl had seen rich celebrities having a great time, with not a single mask in sight. "But, Democrats policies required that first-graders who watched the big plus party last night have to get up this morning to cover their faces..to go school.

Kentucky lawmaker also claimed that people "know for many months" vaccines reduce COVID-19 risk to a point that should allow for normalcy.

McConnell stated, "We know..that this variant of the virus is significantly milder." "We know for months that universally available vaccines lower the risk of death or hospitalization to the same level as many of the routine risks we face every day in our daily lives.
