When House Democrats present their case to senators about the reason why they should vote to convict President Trump of the impeachment complaint that he incited an insurrection from the Capitol, a few say their case may be mitigated by the presence of Rep. Eric Swalwell as an impeachment director.
Swalwell has been awarded the heavy responsibility of being on the team to present the case against Trump into the Senate in his impeachment trial. The end result -- though Trump will be out of office when the trial occurs -- could be that Trump is barred from ever holding office again.
However, some don't believe Swalwell, D-Calif., is a serious person for the responsibility with which he's been entrusted.
