The Ministry has obtained 2,960 licenses that will be distributed in several phases with the administrations and Autonomous Communities that have not transferred the powers of Justice.
The Ministry of Justice has launched the nationwide deployment of the Legal Dictation System, a technological tool that will allow judicial administration workers to quickly and accurately transcribe legal texts through voice recognition.
As reported by the Ministry led by Pilar Llop in a press release, this technology has passed a test phase that ended in April and is part of the process of digital transformation of the Administration of Justice.
The tool allows you to transcribe 160 words per minute with high precision and recognizes legal terms. It makes it possible to automatically convert voice notes to text from any device and in different applications, as well as formatting, searching, browsing the Internet and filling out forms.
This system is expected to help save time, increase productivity, facilitate the search for documentation in databases and eliminate, as far as possible, spelling errors.
The Legal Dictation System, which works with the DigaLaw X voice recognition and translation software, will be available to all professionals and, in particular, to magistrates, judges, prosecutors and lawyers from the Administration of Justice.
Justice explains that this system uses "cutting-edge technologies of Artificial Intelligence and deep neural networks" that are "always in development and in continuous self-learning, with which it improves performance progressively, without the need for any training or adaptation to the voice of the Username".
The Ministry has obtained 2,960 licenses that will be distributed in several phases with the administrations and Autonomous Communities that have not transferred the powers of Justice.
With the first phase, which began this Monday, they will be distributed to 862 users in Murcia, Ceuta, Melilla and the Balearic Islands. The second, from June 13, will involve Extremadura and Castilla-La Mancha, with 828. The third, on June 20, will extend to Castilla y León, with 791. Finally, and from June 27, in the fourth phase will provide 524 licenses to the Supreme Court, the State Attorney General's Office, the National High Court and government bodies.
