Biden, who talked in the White House, contained a sentence in his comments commending Egyptian officers because of their"critical function" in stopping the fighting. But he emphasized the intensive job he explained was completed by his own government.
"Over the past 11 days, I talked with the prime minister six times. I have also spoken with President Abbas and the Palestinian Authority more the once as portion of our extreme diplomatic involvement," Biden said,"And I wish to also thank secretary of statethe secretary of defense, and our national security advisor, and everybody else on the team for their amazing efforts to bring this around, this result that we are going to see.
"You know, we have held intensive, high tech talks, hour by hour, literally, Egypt, the Palestinian Authority and other Middle Eastern states, with a goal of avoiding this form of prolonged battle we have seen in prior years once the hostilities have broken out."
Biden pledged to assist Israel replenish its Iron Dome platform and also to operate together with the Palestinian Authority to rebuild Gaza.
Biden said he had talked with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu about the cease-fire and emailed him on his choice to bring hostilities to a close.
Biden said the prime minister had shared his admiration for its Iron Dome system, Israel's missile defense which was built with assistance from the U.S. Biden said the machine"has saved the lives of numerous Israeli citizens, Arab and Jew.
"I assured him of my entire support to replenish Israel's Iron Dome method to make sure its defenses and safety in the long run," Biden said.
Biden said he had also spoken with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, who's a part of the Fatah Party instead of Hamas.
"The United States dedicated to working together with the United Nations, and we remain dedicated to working together with the United Nations and other global stakeholders to present quick humanitarian aid and to marshal global support for the people of Gaza and the Gaza renovation efforts"
"We shall do it in complete partnership with the Palestinian Authority, not Hamas, Palestinian Authority, in a way that doesn't allow Hamas to only restock its military arsenal."
