AOC Supports Advanced Maya Wiley in New York City mayoral Competition

The burst of assistance from advanced players could indicate trouble for Yang, yet another former presidential hopeful that threw his hat at the NYC mayoral race in January.

Yang has just gained the interest of GOP large spenders expecting to avoid a progressive from accepting the Big Apple mayoral chair.

Hedgefund billionaire Jeff Yass, that endorsed Republican attempts for Senators Josh Hawley and Ted Cruz, paid $500,000 into the Comeback PAC in service of Yang, initially reported Politico a month.

Yang supposedly appealed to Yass due to his support for charter schools and criticism of all educators' unions during the pandemic.

This divergent view from Democratic talking points gained Yang more money from a different GOP supporter,'' billionaire Kenneth Griffin.

Early voting for the New York mayor race starts next week, together with the principal election set for June 22.
