"And I have not told many people that in my entire life. However, as soon as we go through injury, trauma substances on every other."

At one stage, when she had been hiding in the toilet of her workplace, she said somebody banged on the door and entered the area, repeatedly crying,"Where's she?"

Crowds of people then made their way into the Capitol steps, forcing through barricades, officers in riot gear along with other safety measures which were set in place in expectation of their demonstration. "They are trying to let's forget about what occurred. They are trying to inform it was not a major deal," she explained. "They are trying to let's proceed with no liability, with no truth-telling or without really facing the intense harm, bodily injury, loss of lifestyle and injury that has been inflicted on not only me as a individual, not just others as people, but on us as a collective and forth a number of different men and women. We can't proceed without responsibility. We can't cure without responsibility. And so, each one these men and women that are telling us to proceed are doing this at their own advantage."

Those would be the very same tactics, she stated,"of the guy who touched you at work, telling one to proceed."

"Are they going to think you?" She lasted. "Or the grownup that, you know, if they hurt you when you're a youngster and you develop and you confront them , and they attempt to inform you what happened never occurred."

Ocasio-Cortez said those accountable for what happened on Jan. 6"isn't about the difference of political belief" or even"getting revenge."

"That is all about just, for example, fundamental humanity," she explained. "We aren't safe with those who hold positions of power that would like to undermine the lives of the others if they believe that it will score them a political stage."

"We understood that violence was anticipated," she added. "We understood that violence was based on somebody telling the lie -- that the lie about our elections."
