For the first time in almost four and a half years, the AfD is again ahead of the Greens in the “Sunday trend” of “Bild am Sonntag”. In the most recent survey, the right-wing populists come to 16 percent, one point more than in the previous week. The Greens lost one percentage point and are now only 15 percent. Most recently, the AfD was ahead of the Greens in the survey in October 2018 (18 to 17 percent).

In the current survey, the Union remains in first place with 28 percent (minus one percentage point). The SPD comes to an unchanged 21 percent. The FDP increases by one percentage point to eight percent, the left also gains a point and comes to five percent.

In the surveys of other institutes over the past two weeks, the Union is between 28 and 30 percent, the SPD between 18 and 21 percent, the Greens between 16 and 19 percent, the AfD between 14 and 17 percent, the FDP between 5 and 7 percent, the left between 5 and 7 percent and all other parties together between 7 and 9 percent.

For the “Sunday trend”, the opinion research company Insa interviewed 1202 people from March 13th to 17th. The statistical margin of error was given as plus/minus 3.1 percentage points.
