In a press release on Tuesday, called on the united nations children's fund Unicef, all parties in the conflict to refrain from ”committing serious criminal offences against children” - including the recruitment of children as soldiers.
Unicef announced at the same time that they will remain on libyan soil in order to provide support for children and their families. In the past, several international organizations decided that they will evacuate their staff when the situation in the country escalated.

Nine of the dead are civilians, including two doctors who are working to provide critical medical care in Tripoli, said the WHO. Approximately 3,400 individuals have been forced to leave their homes, according to UN estimates.
