Last week arranged the NHO annual conference with the title We and the world. Where did we in the audience hammered into the EEA agreement is good and international cooperation is important.Kari Elisabeth Kaski. Show more
If we don't share the view of the EEA, we are totally agreed that international cooperation and trade is important. But NHO failed with this conference to take on what are the biggest challenges that we as a society are over, klimakrisa and ulikhetsveksten. NHO is irrelevant if they do not understand and take this seriously.
Recently gave Tankesmia Agenda out a note where they present the results from a survey where they have asked people about what trends they are most anxious that will apply to Norwegian society in the year 2100.Now I'm mighty tired of being cheated Comment
the Survey shows that the concerns are greatest for climate change, svekka welfare state and economic inequality. At the same time showed the last year's annual Ungdata survey showed that fewer young people than before believe they get a happy life. Climate change and the expectations about unemployment in the future, this makes the youth less optimistic.
But it does not apply to only the young. A survey conducted by Sentio on behalf of the class struggle, presented in December 2018, shows that 40 per cent of the population think those who grow up today will get a more difficult economic future. Framtidsbarometeret to Finance Norway also shows that there is an increased uncertainty in Norwegian households, especially when it comes to expectations about their own economy. The yellow vestene in Paris is a warning, also to the Norwegian politicians Debate
Many worry this for the future. We need politicians to take very seriously. But also other actors that have the power to shape the development of our society, the confederation of Norwegian enterprise, should take this seriously. And here fails the confederation of Norwegian enterprise.
the Inequality is increasing in Norway. The richest one percent now own a quarter of all wealth in the Uk. At the same time, they get the richest to a larger part of the revenue. Those with the lowest wages have been virtually silent in salary increases since 2008. Workers get less of the value, while kapitaleierne receive an increasing share of a growing economy. Families with children and single parents experience that their income grows more slowly than for the rest.
the Consequences of increased inequality affects many people: Young people who are being outdone by the investors in the housing market, employees who are offered nulloppgjør in bargaining at the same time that management wages increases, or the people who see that the nursing home be tapped for financing, while the owners of the nursing home brings home the big profits.
the NHO will have to understand ulikhetsveksten and take seriously that the values created have to be distributed more evenly. And they need to be to promote policies that militate against this development. Instead, we see examples of the opposite. NHO advocated removing the corporate tax, defending the profit in the welfare and use the AUTHORITY to take the rematch on the terms and conditions for working people in Norway.
Redistributive taxation, public welfare and the organism of the workplace are the three main pillars of a society with small differences. But the confederation of Norwegian enterprise will weaken these pillars.Inequality, a poor explanation Debate
When the differences increase, will increasingly new groups are being affected. Everyone loses on increased inequality. The trust in the community, many spoke warmly about the Nho's annual conference, deteriorate with greater inequality. Doing the same the economic growth. Which in any case should worry the confederation of Norwegian enterprise. We should therefore expect that the Norwegian business sector and employers share people's concern for the future, and working to be a part of the solution to ulikhetsutfordringene.
