Scenrecension: Total-the trilogy ends with skrivkrampskänning

It is third time lucky for Göteborgstrion Anton Hellström, Ossian Melin and Philip Aladdin to escape the present, – by to heckle it to pieces – at Teater Brunnsgatan Four. With ”Total strukturalitet” concludes the trilogy in 2017 began with the somewhat sensational ”Total security” and, last year, was followed up by ”Total freshness”.

Ossian Melin tend to be biting and polemical, with his sights set on the sellouts in the culture, is emosminkad and literally hopsäckad. If the last part took the form of a bailout that would free art from the sponsringens era, it has now become time to wait for the downfall.

Themselves, they have mentioned Tarkovsky's ”the Sacrifice” from 1986, where Erland Josephson plays the leading role, as a source of inspiration. Certainly, this is also a barren tree, just as in Tarkovsky's exilfilm if kärnvapenångest and civilization collapse. ”In all my life I've been waiting for this,” says Josephson, in the movie, and Ossian Melin on the scene.

It's a little funny when you feel to it, which at the same time says something about this show's limited ability to stand on its own feet, without all the kulturmanliga crutches. Skrivkrampskänning and uppgivenhetssyndrom means rather just that the closing part is tråkigast so far.
