Approximately 85 school students from BGI Academy at Hornsyld are snowed in at the ski resort Hochfügen in the Zillertal valley in Austria.
It tells the leader of the BGI Academy Helle Vestergaard to Jydske Vestkysten.
It is a powerful snowfall, which, in the course of the past day has hit large parts of the southern German and austrian alps, which is the cause of the extreme situation. Now students can not go home to Denmark as planned.
Helle Vestergaard tells that it is her impression that the students are not at all so affected by the situation.
- They are enjoying themselves very much. I think that they are quite well satisfied to get a little extra time on skis, says Helle Vestergaard to Jydske Vestkysten.

many students took on the planned skiing holiday 1. January. The intention was that they should return home again on Sunday afternoon. But the roads are closed, so no one can drive them away.
Over the past day there has fallen large amounts of snow. It is just the area around the Zillertal valley and Innsbruck, to the greatest quantities are decreased. In just 24 hours there has fallen more than a meter of snow.

In spite of the situation expect a school leader, that the students can put the exchange rate against Denmark with a few days delay.
