Di Maio: Moderation in Iraq, our top priority remains the fight against Isis
In a post on the appeal to moderation and the urgency of a single european voice on the situation in Iraq: a throw is the minister of Foreign affairs, Luigi Di Maio. "In that region, our priority is, and remains, the fight against the self-styled Islamic State. There are our military who have been severely injured or have died to fight Daesh, in all its forms. Men and women in uniform who risk their lives to ensure our safety. Our thoughts go out to their work and to their safety. In the last days as Italy, we have launched a strong appeal for dialogue and responsibility, inviting them to keep the channels open with all stakeholders, avoiding any acts that could have serious consequences". Then comes the part of proposals of the appeal: "But if we want to be really incisive, the European Union must speak with one voice. And it is for this reason that I appreciated the invitation to moderation and de-escalation of the high representative of the Eu, Josep Borrell. The use of force has never led anywhere. To the contrary, it has always resulted in further destabilization and devastating effects on both the humanitarian and migration".

Di Maio finally remembers how "our priority is to fight Isis, and in the spring, in Italy, will host the meeting of the coalition anti-Daesh. Be intercepted and affected the funding to terrorist cells. We need to increase cooperation between States. The international community must look in the face and must speak clear, no more hypocrisy". Di Maio in his post, adds a photo of an Italian soldier who raises a little girl smiling, explaining that "the value of Italy in the world"

"The Republic will fight always in defense of the freedom of information, for its readers and for all those who have at heart the principles of democracy and civil coexistence"
