we never get tired of saying it and spread the message: for women who, in these days of isolation suffer violence in the home, there is the number 1522, but there is also the app 1522 (iOS and Android) to chat with the educators and to ask for help, 24 hours a day. #liberapuoi pic.twitter.com/jZ0u5H9Msq— Elena Bonetti (@elenabonetti) March 24, 2020
The public appeal to premier Count has, therefore, hit the mark: launched by two well-known activists - Fabrizia Giuliani and Andrea Catizone - in a matter of a few hours has made the rounds of the net and reaped the acclaim. Up to be signed by 500 women: university professors, avvocate, political, trade unionists, professionals in the fields most various. From Laura Boldrini, Anna Finocchiaro, and Livia Turco, by Cristina Comencini, Francesca Izzo, passing through Anna Maria Bernardini de Pace. Different worlds united in a single battle: the one against the violence, between the walls of the home that, in a time of pandemic, more likely to produce a massacre silent. This is demonstrated by the numbers: in the last 15 days calls to 1522 were halved compared to the same period of last year. And about 50 percent have decreased even complaints to the police.
