Australian senator blames the terror attack on muslim immigration

Only hours after the attacks, which were carried out in two mosques in the new zealand city of Christchurch, and where at least 49 people lost their lives, wrote the independent senator for the australian state of Queensland on Twitter:

”Is there anyone who still questions the link between muslim immigration and violence?”

the Senator's staff later released a press release, which then was drawn back. In it wrote Fraser Manning to ”the real reason for the bloodshed on New Zealand's streets are immigrationsprogrammet that allowed muslim fanatics to migrate to New Zealand from the very beginning, writes british The Guardian.

and his statements were not long in coming, and Australia's prime minister, Scott Morisson accused him of spreading racism.

”the Senator Phrases Her comments in which he blames these murderous attacks carried out by violent and extremist terrorists in New Zealand, at immigration, is disgusting. Such views have no place in Australia, even less in the australian parliament,” he wrote on Twitter.”

interior minister Sajid Javid took to Twitter to condemn the senator's statements.

”the Phrases of the Mannings statements deserve contempt. He is a disgrace to the senate and what is even worse is that he by to spread hatred and to turn australians against each other, doing exactly what the terrorists want,” he wrote.
