”the Person was arrested during the evening as is reasonably suspected of gross handling of stolen goods during the period to 31 July 2018 to February 5 2019. The suspicions regarding the involvement in the return of the valuable regalia,” said prosecutor Isabelle Bjursten in a press release.
The stolen regalia, two crowns and a riksäpple, from the reign of king Karl IX and queen Kristina the elder funerals in the beginning of the 1600's were found in a garbage bin placed on a car in a parking in Åkersberga, north of Stockholm.
