Nashville is getting a book-based theme park to encourage reading

This theme park is straight from a storybook.

Storyville Gardens Interactive Theme Park, a Middle Tennessee attraction that brings childhood favorites to life through literary-inspired attractions, is coming to Middle Tennessee.

Storyland Studios is behind the upcoming theme park. They have worked with many other companies, including Universal Studios, Disney, Marvel, LEGOLAND and LEGOLAND.

Young families continue to move to Middle Tennessee, which continues to enjoy an economic boom. But, Nashville and surrounding counties are lacking family-friendly entertainment options," DeLisa Guerrier, Storyville Gardens developer, said. Guerrier: "Storyville Gardens will offer that option while also helping parents to instill a love for reading in their children."

Storyville Gardens was created to encourage park-goers to read beyond what's required in a classroom, according to its website.

Nashville Business Journal reported that the theme park will cover more than 100 acres and include attractions such as roller coasters, other rides, and dining, entertainment, and three hotels. __S.12__
