If you’re prepared to spend a few quid every month you may be able to locate an allotment near you. It should be said that these are often hard to come by as people with allotments don’t generally like to give them up and the amount of construction work is slowly reducing the space for allotments.

However, if you can locate one, for a small rental fee you can secure yourself a piece of land and grow anything you like While most people use this to grow vegetables, you can simply grow flowers and position benches to give yourself a place to escape to.

House Plants

The great thing about houseplants, regardless of whether you’ve chosen a spider plant or a cheese plant, is that they are in pots. You can move them around your home to find the perfect spot for them and ensure they flourish.
