Video of an alligator snatching a drone out of the air recently went viral on TikTok. Although the stunt itself would have drawn attention, most people are more interested in the aftermath.
The footage was uploaded to TikTok by a user named Devhlanger. Someone tried to fly a drone near an alligator while on a Florida Everglades trip to film it.
Captioned footage: "Trying to get a closer up of this alligator... Wait until [SIC] he chews through his drone's battery."
The video shows the alligator jumping quickly up to grab the drone with its mouth.
In the second part, the video shows the alligator chewing on the drone as smoke billows out of its mouth. At this moment, it's not clear if the gator has difficulty controlling the drone.
Since being uploaded, the first video has been viewed more than 377,000 times. However, the second video, which shows the smoke-filled aftermath of the first video, has been viewed more than 4.5 million times.

Some viewers were however not amused. Complex reports that the uploader was reported by local authorities after the video went viral. Others debated whether the footage was actually shot in an area that drones are banned.
