In 1985, you could see The Clash, Leonard Cohen, The Ramones, and The Cure at Roskilde Festival for 240 dollars.
Next year is The Cure, back on Orange, but the price is different, for partoutbilletter costs 2100 crowns.
It is not cheap to take on the festival in Denmark longer. Roskilde, however, has not increased the price from 2018 to 2019, but it has more of mastodontens competitors.
It will be significantly more expensive to visit NorthSide in Aarhus and the Tinderbox in Odense next summer, where the price of partoutbilletter has increased by 300 million from 1595 to 1895 both places. This is an increase of 18.8% compared to last year.
About the background for the large price spikes, says John Fogde, who is head of press for the Down the Drain Group, which organises both the NorthSide and the Tinderbox:
- Fees-particularly for us artists is getting bigger and bigger from year to year, so if we are to deliver the bands that people want, then we need to turn up for the ticket price. We also invest continuously in festivalpladserne, but the increase is mainly connected to the music.
On the Tinderbox it currently looks that we are going to increase the musikbudgettet from about 35 million to over 50 million dollars. It is indeed a significant increase, and the money we have to collect from the ticket price.
NorthSide and Tinderbox costs only 205 dollars less than Roskilde next year, but even if you Zealand get a festivaldag more as well as far more concerts and the option of camping, so fear John Fogde not that the audience can opt out of the jutland and funen festival.
- No, we do not really. We offer a completely different experience, both on the Tinderbox and the NorthSide. You rarely receive praise, when one screws up, for the price, but we think the festivals we're working on right now, will get people to feel like they've got something for the money for the summer, says it.
Copenhell and Heartland has also set the price of partoutbilletter up, while Tønder's price is unchanged.
Smukfest has the country's supreme most expensive bracelet in the year cost 2695 dollars.
the Festival's communications manager, Poul Martin Bonde, says to Ekstra Bladet, Smukfest has not yet decided whether they adjusted the price for the ticket sales, which begin 4. december.
All of the mentioned festivals were reported sold out in the year, apart from the NorthSide and Copenhell, which was very close.

Director: We have to
Heartland takes to the summer place for the fourth time at Egeskov Castle at the Midtfyn, but for the first time does it cost in 1990 dollars to buy a partoutbillet. This is an increase of 18 percent compared to last year.
the Festival's director, Ulrik Ørum-Petersen, justifying the increase as follows:
- We need to put the ticket price of almost 2000 dollars to make a festival that goes to zero, which we expect in 2019. We have deliberately driven the festival with a rather significant deficit in opstartsårene, because it simply takes time to build a brand like festival and stack it on the legs.
- We're a boutique festival with the intimate relationship, so there is a limit to how many tickets we can and will sell. We do not want to be a festival where there are more than 20,000-25,000 people in the square daily. Guests pay for exclusivity.
Heartland has, among other things The Smashing Pumpkins and Solange on the program.
